Science should be at the service of humanity as a whole and should contribute to quality of life for everyone as well as to insure healthy and productive environment.
Objectives:
- to enhance the implementation of NDT Technology recognizing it as powerfull tool in Public and Environment Security and Safety,
- to motivate and support EFNDT members and expert in R&D activities for NDT diagnostic technology considering all kind of materials, explosive objects and devices as well as remnents for public threats,
- to encourage the harmonization in education and certification of personel in humanitarian demining and generally detection of explosive objects, devices and remnants
- to foster the EU Safety and Security standardisation of the requirements, procedures and activities.
Tasks:
- to analyze the present situation of existing NDT methods and to search for suitable physical principles not yet used but promising in the field of Security and Safety in civil environment
- to organize exchange of experience and benefit from experience between the groups oriented to demining operation and those detecting explosives since their underlying methods have substantial similarity,
- to improve reliability of detection and diagnostic methods related to explosive objects and remnants
- to involve EFNDT WG5 members in EU research programs fortering partnerships in designing, proposing and lunching NDT technology's projects of Security and Safety,
