Radiation Protection and ADR

Objective:

• Representation of interests of EFNDT members in the area of radiation protection and ADR
• Revision of regulations for the safe transport of radioactive material is one key point on the agenda of this working group. This includes safety aspects of packages and reduction of laborious operation costs connected with transportation regulation.

Tasks:

• Preparing comments on common radiation protection regulations when necessary
• Representation of specific interests for transportation of radioactive sources for industrial radiography in IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), ADR (Accord europèen relatif au transport international des marchandises dangerouses par route) and EC (European Community)
